Rossi & Meier Kommunikationsberatungs AG — a Swiss company offering marketing services to small, medium and large businesses. The company doesn’t exist any more on the market because of internal reasons.
Challenge
To analyze feedback from marketing campaigns and to estimate the effectiveness Rossi & Meier was using their own solution. As time passed and the volume of data to be analyzed increased the solution ceased to be sufficient as it took too much time to handle the tasks.
In order to develop the required CRM system Rossi & Meier addressed Sunbay.
Solution
Based on Java technologies, Sunbay has developed a solution able to deal with large amounts of data very quickly. The system was based on 3-tier architecture, using Swing for the Client side, WebLogic for the middle-tier, and Oracle as the back-end.
Initially the solution called ECRIT (Electronic Customer Relationship Information Tool) was intended to analyze the client’s feedback only. During the system design, Rossi & Meier decided to develop a fully-functional CRM system based on ECRIT. The developed system allows tracking names, addresses, contacts and various relationships and interactions between parties conducting business.
All data can be easily searched and imported to other systems. Various report forms to monitor a current state of any given action or contact are provided.
To keep all data secured only authorized users get access to the system. All users are divided into several groups each of which has its own access rights to view, edit or delete information.
To make the system more convenient in everyday usage the following features were supported:
Multi-lingual — any language in any character-set for the interface and for data can be used
Multi-standard — all international standards such as date and time standards, national standards of address formatting, international standards of communicating with other systems, such as XML, etc, are supported.
ECRIT was developed for internal usage in Rossi & Meier.
