Raiffeisenbank Switzerland — one of the biggest Swiss banks which unites around 470 smaller banks. Serves around 3 million customers all over Switzerland.

Challenge

As laws changed in Switzerland it became possible to invest private and mandatory pension accounts into company shares as well as using more traditional types of investment. Willing to increase his pension saving, a customer signs a contract with local Raiffeisen bank and according to the order the bank buys and sells the company shares on behalf of the customer.

To manage all related transactions a dedicated software was needed. Another requirement was its close interaction with external systems for financial transactions to manage pension and deposit accounts.

Solution

In close cooperation with the specialists of Raiffeisen bank, Sunbay engineers set up general system requirements, user interface, technical design and other related issues. After all requirements were fixed the development process was started.

New application called RAIDEP was implemented as a software system able to deal with huge amount of data (around 4 million records), to interact with other related financial systems, to handle complicated financial reporting.

At the same time as the software deals with money and bank accounts it’s extremely reliable to avoid incorrect transactions. Being a part of Swiss financial system and serving millions of customers RAIDEP is safe and easy-to-use. Rare combination, ah?

Since RAIDEP is installed, it requires no re-design. The software is successfully working for over 5 years and only slight support is needed. If a new report should be created or deposit rates are changed Sunbay handles the issue on time and budget.
