The coming year will be the 13-th for Sunbay. A little bit scary date. But we are not superstitious :) Maybe that’s the reason why this year was even more interesting and lucky than all previous ones. So, what the year it was?

	Sunbay and Simferopol Located in Simferopol, Sunbay does its best to make something good for the city.This year Sunbay twice organized cleanups to make the native city more pleasant and cleaner. The first one was done in April. A territory near the office in the park was cleaned up and several trees were planted. The second one was taken when Google organized its international cleanup weekend. Sunbay donated some money to Simferopol boarding school for children with limited abilities. New wardrobes will be made for children on this grant.
	Projects Sunbay has proved its position as software provider for telecom companies — 90% of completed projects during this year were done for telecom companies. These projects are related to various business tasks such as trouble ticketing, phone number management, corporate informational portal, content management, etc. Some of the projects.
	Partnerships Sunbay always aims to be not only the company for qualified specialists but to be a good start for young people. Here students and graduates can begin their way in IT sphere, get the first job experience and become a real professional. That’s why we signed an agreement with the local committee of AIESEC, international organization aiming the similar things. In 2007 Sunbay has renewed its Oracle Partner Network membership for another year. This confirms the high level of Sunbay software developed based on Oracle products.
	Sunbay Team Every year our team is growing. In 2007 13 more friends joined our team. Both professionals and students are among them. And – surprise – unlike other software developer companies there are a lot of girls in Sunbay.

First Sunbay initiative to make it’s native town cleaner took place in April. That’s why when Google organized international cleanup weekend, Sunbay couldn’t stay away. Inspite of the rain Sunbay team made a difference close to home. You can see some pictures from that day here.

One more Sunbay year is over — we are going to celebrate our 12-years anniversary. What was this year like?

Sunbay has proved its position as software provider for telecom companies — 90% of completed projects during this year were done for telecom companies. To confirm its expertise in portal software development Sunbay team of engineers was certified as IBM WebSphere Portal V5.1 Application Developers. 14 projects are done by the moment in this field. The next step on this way is to increase the number of certified specialists and to extend Sunbay expertise in this area. More on this here.

Sunbay is going to become the most attractive software development company in the region. To achieve this we constantly increase the compencations Sunbay team gets, share company’s profit among all employees, keep warm and friendly atmosphere in our office and carefully treat both companiy’s Clients and emploeeys to make them happy.

According to our Clients’ references (and do you have any reasons not to believe them?) the level of professional expertise in Sunbay is very high. To make it even higher internal training programs are held in our company. Thus, a seminar on software design patterns took place. The seminar was based on real projects done in Sunbay and showed how knowledge and practical usage of software design patterns made development easier and faster. The main advantage of these seminar compared with the standard training programs offered on the market is it’s project-based nature. Not trainers but software developers tell the team what problems they meet during the project, what patterns they use, and how it helps.
