One more year is over. It’s a usual time to sum up the year results and make some plans for the future. We’ll try to do this in a little bit different way. Let’s see a couple of pictures and remember what the year 2006 was.

	It’s a pleasure to work if good people are around. It’s a great pleasure when the amount of good people around is becoming more. During 2006 Sunbay team has become 30% more. In one of Russian animation movies a wisdom cat said: “I was happy, but now I’m two more times happier”. So now we are 1.3 times happier :)
	What is the secret of good job? Sunbay opinion is the secret is to combine good job with good holidays. It’s what we were doing during the year. In 2006 Sunbay people were on the sea, in the mountains, in caves, explored avia, land and sea means of transport; survived hot deserts and snow peaks; enjoyed hookah smell and Finnish sauna, exotic meals and cool parties. The list isn’t full as you understand. It’s very boring to spend all your time in the office. And it’s not about us.
	Resting is a great thing but in 2006 Sunbay team studied a lot. Two certification programs were successfully passed this year The first one is IBM WebSphere Portal V.5.1 certification. The certification passed successfully due to vast Sunbay experience in portal software development (10+ projects are done by the moment in this field). The other one is EMC Documentum certification. In Russia, Ukraine and CIS in general there are only a few Documentum specialists. We are proud to say that some of them are a part of Sunbay team.
	Ok, back to work and projects. In 2006 Sunbay successfully implemented 24 projects of various complexity and length, from 4 up to 70 MM. The majority of projects are related to telecom, portal software, document management, independent QA services. Besides this Sunbay continued cooperation with SwissLife and Raiffeisen SVRB. This partnership lasts for more than 7 years in a row. We wish Sunbay and every member of Sunbay team prosperous and happy year. Let the new year will be better than the old one.

Sunbay team of portal software engineers is certified as IBM WebSphere Portal V5.1 Application Developers. The certification passed successfully due to vast Sunbay experience in portal software development (10+ projects are done by the moment in this field). The next step on this way is to increase the number of certified specialists and to extend Sunbay expertise in this area.

Sunbay successfully completed a long-term project aimed to create a web service for email-like sending of large files. Although Sunbay team has vast experience in networking technologies, our engineers had to study a lot of new tools and techs to cope with the task. Some of the instruments used during the development are J2EE, JBoss, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, load balancing/clustering; AJAX/JSON, JavaScript; crossplatform C++ code for Win32/Linux/MacOS using Apache Portable Runtime, OpenSSL, cURL, LMX, libXML.

In the very beginning of September Sunbay celebrates it’s 11-th anniversary. We can say we achieved a lot during this year. To name just a few:

• Team: We became 30% more.
• Stats: 45% of Sunbay technical team are Java specs, 28% — C++, 8% — Oracle, 15% — QA.
• Clients: 3 new companies became Sunbay long-term partners and clients. At the same time Sunbay continued and developed cooperation with existing clients.
• Projects: During this year Sunbay started and successfully accomplished 15 projects of various length and complexity. 7 more projects were started this year and are in different stages of development, testing and integration. 3 projects are being supported (these are long-term projects being supported for more than 7 years in a row).
• Products: This year Sunbay developed it’s own open-source requirement management system. Another product being developed by Sunbay for several years is Mobile VPN solution. Right now test installations of the current software version (3.0) are done in Europe and Asia while the next version is being specified.
• Certification: Recently Sunbay document management team was certified by EMC Documentum. The team consists of Document 5 Manager, Engineers, Developers and System Developers. The next certification program planned by Sunbay is IBM WebSphere Portal V5.1 Application Development, Deployment and Administration.
